I know I haven't written anything for some time.,  My grandfather (The Captain), over the past year has been rather sick. And tonight he passed away. It has been really hard over the past year watching him decline, mainly because I always remember him as a vibrant teacher, and father figure in my life. Tonight was one of the hardest things i have had to do in my life and that includes the many years I ran search and rescue in the Coast Guard. But fortunately he did not suffer, It helped being by his side, but it also hurt the most. You never know what life will bring you, and you never know what the day will be like when you wake.
